Why he’s running: Turner said he hopes to bring a fresh perspective and unbiased outlook to city council. One of the most important issues for him is maintaining Centennial as the safest city to live in Colorado and maintain what the council is already doing to encourage people to move into the area. In addition to maintaining infrastructure, he wants to make sure the city’s high veteran population is being adequately served in regards to transportation needs and employment services, especially for the homeless veteran population. He served for 10 years in the Navy.
“We want to make sure we’re able to help and serve in any capacity we can,” Turner said.
He also said he’s against recreational marijuana stores and doesn’t think it’s a good idea, and that most Centennial citizens agree with him. But if it is regulated, it should be closely scrutinized.
